SharpGrip is the trading name of Sharpgrip Consulting Services Private Limited, an Indian company providing AI, automation and data consultancy services, primarily to Jersey businesses.

For the website and business enquiry activities described in this policy, we act as the data controller, meaning we decide why and how personal information is used.

Operational address:
519, Unity One, Fifth Floor, Rajiv Gandhi Square, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

For privacy questions or requests, please use our Contact Us form, mentioning “Privacy request” in your message. You can also write to our correspondence address above.

Information we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message.

If you continue discussions with us, we may also receive business contact details, information about your requirements and correspondence relating to a potential engagement.

Our website and its providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as connection information, browser details and server logs.

We use Google Analytics to understand website usage. This can include pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, device and browser information, and identifiers associated with cookies or similar technologies.

Please do not include confidential client records, bank account details or sensitive personal information in the contact form. Where a project requires such information, we will agree an appropriate way to share it.

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and arrange introductory discussions.
  • Understand your requirements and prepare proposals.
  • Manage communications and business relationships.
  • Operate, maintain and protect our website and communications.
  • Understand website usage and improve its content.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and handle legal claims.

We do not operate a newsletter or subscription mailing list, and we do not use website enquiries to send promotional email campaigns.

Providing information through the contact form is voluntary. Without your email address and sufficient details about your request, we may be unable to respond.

Our lawful bases

Where applicable data protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests: to respond to business enquiries, communicate with business representatives, manage relationships and protect our systems. We consider these interests alongside your rights and reasonable expectations.
  • Contractual necessity: where processing is necessary to take steps you request before entering into a contract with you personally, or to perform that contract.
  • Legal obligations: where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
  • Consent: for optional analytics cookies and associated processing where consent is required.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some support website operation, while others help measure how visitors use the website.

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors use and how they interact with our website. Google processes information associated with this service. Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Our cookie banner provides options to accept or reject optional cookies. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website functionality.

Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Service providers and information sharing

We use:

  • GoDaddy to provide our website platform and hosting.
  • Microsoft 365 to receive and manage enquiry emails and business correspondence.
  • Google Analytics to analyse website usage.

These providers process information in connection with the services they supply. Their respective privacy information is available here:

  • GoDaddy Privacy Policy
  • Microsoft Privacy Statement
  • Google Privacy Policy

We may also disclose relevant information where required by law, or where necessary to obtain professional advice or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where information is processed

SharpGrip operates from India, and authorised personnel in India access and handle enquiries and business correspondence.

Our website, email and analytics providers operate internationally. Information may therefore be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including outside Jersey and the United Kingdom.

The locations and arrangements depend on the service involved. You can contact us for further information about the providers and international processing relevant to your enquiry.

How long we retain information

Enquiries that do not become client engagements:
We retain these for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then delete them, unless a legal obligation or an ongoing dispute requires longer retention.

Enquiries that become client engagements:
Relevant correspondence becomes part of our client records. Retention depends on the engagement, applicable legal and accounting requirements, and any need to establish or defend legal claims.

Google Analytics:
Our configured retention periods are:

  • Event data: 2 months.
  • User data: 14 months.

The setting to reset user data retention on new activity is enabled. This means new activity can restart the retention period for the relevant user identifier, so it may be retained longer than 14 months from the first visit.

These settings do not apply to most standard reports based on aggregated data. Analytics retention periods are also separate from the lifetime of cookies stored in your browser.

How we protect information

We restrict access to enquiry information to authorised personnel and use multifactor authentication on the accounts handling it.

No website or communication system can guarantee complete security. Please contact us if you believe information shared with SharpGrip has been compromised.

AI and client project information

We do not use AI tools to process website enquiries or prospective clients’ information, and our website does not provide an AI chatbot.

Information processed as part of a client’s AI assistant, Copilot agent, document-processing solution or automated workflow is addressed separately through the relevant project arrangements and data-processing terms.

Where we process personal information on a client’s behalf, our responsibilities are defined by the relevant agreement and the client’s instructions.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal information.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Request restrictions on its use.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Receive certain information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
  • Complain to a relevant data protection authority.

These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.

To make a request, use our Contact Us form and begin your message with “Privacy request”, or write to our correspondence address.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Complaints

If you are concerned about how we handle your personal information, please contact us using the details above.

You may also contact the relevant data protection authority. Where Jersey data protection law applies, you can raise a concern with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner. Where UK data protection law applies, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

You do not need to complete our internal complaints process before contacting a relevant authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, practices or applicable requirements change. We will publish the revised version on this page and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
